Brenda and Carl Etzel are a husband and wife team in Charlotte, North Carolina who have been artists most of their lives.
It all started at a small fine arts college in rural Pennsylvania many years ago. We met in Drawing-2 class as art majors. It was in college that we developed our passion and skills for handcrafted artwork, especially pottery and woodwork. Shortly after college, we married and moved to Charlotte where Brenda began teaching elementary art in Gaston County. Carl began working as a graphic designer, first at a publications firm, then for a trade show display company for about fifteen years. He now works as a designer for a large non-profit in Charlotte. A few years ago they both rekindled their love for hand made artwork and began to hone their skills in pottery and woodwork. They are excited to create one-of-a-kind pieces that stand out in a world of mass produced and disposable products.
